I'm all about reusing and repurposing packaging materials from other trades. It's good for the enviroment and saves money. All the cash I save gets reinvested back into my collection through buying vintage cards on line and at shows. Every penny saved = more cards.

Yes, and everyone should. Saved money and also good to recycle. On more than one occasion, I got my back from someone that I not traded with yet.

the other cool thing about saving cardboard innner packaging is that you don't have to cut it out to fit like the original person did!

I can't tell you how many times I have opened a trade, emptied the cards and filled them up with another trade going out the next day. I have gotten packaging with three or four trade numbers on it. I just really hate excess packaging on consumer goods so getting even one extra use out of something going in the bin is a win for me.

I figured the best way to learn how to pack stuff better was to save what brought the cards in the first place. So far, I'm saving whatever works good for PWE exchanges.

I keep all mine in a cereal box I cut in half, everything I get in the mail I try to reuse. Good idea about reusing painter's tape, I'm going to give that a try!

My favourite part of reuse is seeing what other people use and how far they've travelled. Funny seeing an American sending Canadian packaging.
Beer, frozen dinners, cereal, frozen pizza are popular ones.

I have a couple boxes of stuff I reuse and my card table has little pieces of painter's tape all along the edge of it that I have pulled off of packages and then reuse as long as it's still sticky. It's a lot easier than having to cut cereal boxes myself and I'm still on the same roll of painter's tape I started with 2 1/2 years ago which is nice.
