Does anyone know what happened to this two-series set? I can't find it searching by the series names or player links.

If you check the Change Logs for the sets you will see they were deleted. More than likely because they were never released as 4-card panels. ------------------------------- *Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.*

Are you saying they were backdoored or what? I have a panel card or two of these that I got in a repack a few years ago. If they were backdoored I understand their exclusion, but if not I can vouch that they do exist, though I can't say how they were released. Just trying to get clarification.

I want to say they were likely cut from previous "uncut sheets." These cards where never released as 4 card panels by Topps. Many full sheets made it into the hobby. If these where to have remained on the site then we would have had to list all possible variations of each 4 card panel. I personally have 3 different variations of my player and I know there are at least 2 more that I have seen.
