Card Identification Forum

I know what this card is supposed to look like, I have the Jarome Iginla from the same subset. But I wanted to share the huge oops on Upper Deck for completely forgetting to add the gold labeling to the card. Thought it was kind of funny and unique...bonus that it's Wayne. Anyone else see anything like this?

This is a printing error.  The print phase that puts the gold foil onto the card was missed.  The same as if a color (black, blue, cyan, etc.) was missed.  Since printing error and not an actual card error, it's not listed seperately on the DB.

Yes, we see missing foil cards all the time. Upper Deck, Topps, Fleer, basically, anyone who ever did foil on cards has had missed foil cards slip out in their products.

I have seen plenty of cards that missed the foil printing process. Not as unique as one would think. I do find these from time to time, not often in Hockey as I don't pursue Hockey as often as Baseball and Football my two main focus sports.

This happened most recently with the 2020 topps series one baseball.....there were a few that missed the foil process and the only way you could tell was that the "Topps" was missing from the card.  There are a bunch on ebay right now, but even PSA doesn't recognize it as anything different than the regular card
