Card Identification Forum

This one came from that shoebox I purchased at the show in New Windsor. I did a general search for Ashton Drake, I also checked Babe Ruth's filters for 96281 and NNO, can't come up with anything. Help, please!

It was part of the promotional/sell sheet/ad stuff that was mailed to customers.

I know there is also a Lou Gehrig from this "set" (and maybe another player), and I could've sworn I added this set a while ago (because an IR had come in requesting it, I even asked Admin how to list them, and I can't find it here. This card was included with the figurine (that is used for the picture on the card).

I had this card and others. It came in the envelope with all the sales literature.  We never bought the figurines so I don't know if they also included the card with the figurines.

I remember that one Dan. They were for a different set of cards that came with figurines. I ended up creating the set, and then found it already listed like an hour later and had my set deleted.

Then maybe this one was because of the other thread. I remember looking these up and asking Admin specifically about how we should list cards that are issued with figurines. It's all a bg blur to me anymore.

OK, so, we know what it is and how it should be listed- now the checklist needs to be nailed down. I think somebody who actually knows baseball should be the one to do that, because I have pretty much zero knowledge on them other than what I read in this thread.

I could find only three figurines; Ruth, Cobb, Gehrig.  And only one card image, Babe Ruth.  I've asked an ebay seller who has one still in the box if there's a card included.

UPDATE:  Received an answer from ebay seller...NO CARD was included in the box.  So my memory was correct.  The card was in the sales literature they mailed out.

Not too surprising, that's how most promos were issued. Since we have this card, and Dan remembers seeing the Gehrig card, should we assume that the Cobb figure has a card as well? I believe the number should be 96281-C. Wonder if the others are A and B?
