I thought this card was the 1990 Star set Promo but when I went to enter it I realized the type color is different and the photo is not the same. Can anyone tell me where it belongs? Maybe vrooomed can help?

I have a lot of promo cards with blank backs too. I actually found a set called star promos 1988-92 and added a few of cards off my list. Sorry i don't have an answer but I will stay tuned for an update

I have a Darryl Strawberry card like that. It is A pinkish color frame and a blank back. I found it under 1989 Star Purple. Hope this at least heads you in the right direction.

From your picture, Hal, the card looks like a wax box type card, though, the "Promo" on the front weakens that theory. There was a thread recently on possible fake Star cards being sold on Ebay either earlier this week or last. Maybe this is one of those products, or maybe it's legitimately from a Star. I'm sure our resident Star Dan (Vrooomed) will chime in at some point. 

I don't have this card. It is definitely the 1990 and newer design. It is NOT the 1990 set's Promo (as you already noted, different photo, white back). I honestly don't know about this one. Where did you get it?

@Sportzcommish it is deffinatly a blank white back card. For one reason or another the scan looks like it's chip board.

@vrooomed I purchased this on Ebay from the seller jnkhobbies1. If it is a fake it is a really really good one.

Yes, it is the same card stock the set 1990 set is printed on. 

Every yellow STAR card Im finding is from 1990, regardless of player.  Also, the only yellow cards Im seeing of Yount is the other image.  Before I read through all the posts, it crossed my mind that it might be a fake.  I would go with that and do light research if needed. 

Just saw this one on ebay.  1990 non-promo.  The image in the auction is the same photo as yours but yours is zoomed out a little.
