I have this phone card and can't find it in the database. Beckett lists it as 1998 Wal-Mart World Com Championship series phone cards #1 John Elway. Is this correct? If so can it be added to the database please.

Fine print with the date says c 1998 WorldCom. then the copyright mark on the right below WorldCom says TNI/MANA corporation.

WorldComm is not a trading card manufacturer.
Therefore, these are not listable here.
(And I have some that aren't listable as well.)

Dan I gotta go with Bounty13 on this one. We have tons of "Broder" sets listed here, and they are boot leg fly by night "Card Companies." There are several phone card sets already listed here in the database. Are they on cardboard, no they are on plastic, but with all the other sets all ready deemed appropriate I see no difference with this one and and let us say this...

If ADMIN has seen fit to allow this and others like it, then this "set" is also valid. The only pause I have is the availability of a complete checklist.

WorldCom was the phone company. It was bought by MCI that was then bought by Verizon. My first cell phone was worldcom.

The phone cards I've gotten over the years have always been found in packs, usually in multi-sport or college/pre-professional (Signature Rookies as an example) packs, but I've never seen any of them throughout my years of collecting that actually had the Wal-Mart logo them. This leans me towards thinking that maybe these were inserted as a chase or a "bonus' in a value box assortment perhaps? I can't say that I recall Wal-Mart selling value packs back then, though.
I even dug out my old Beckett Card Collector's CD and installed it to see if I could find it listed, and it wasn't in there.
Then, I pulled out my big Beckett Football Trading Guide #17. While I did not got through it page by page, I did do a quick look through in the index, and did not see anything that looked like it would pertain to this phone card set. When I have more time, I'll try to deep dive that book and see if I can find a listing.

"Broders" are TRADING CARDS, which qualifies them for inclusion here.
These are Phone Cards. Phone cards inserted into packs of trading cards (such as Classic, etc.) gets listed here because they were inserted into TRADING cards.
Phone cards that were NOT issued with trading cards are not eligible for inclusion. Otherwise, I have some USPS Phone card around here I want included. Not to mention the special edition Steve Yzerman ones we have. But just because a sports figure is on it, doesn't mean we can add it here.

And again, just because 1 set is here, doesn't mean it didn't slip through the cracks. Admin cannot police EVERY set added. Admin has put trust into the system, and we all know there are people willing to break that trust in an effort to get their items listed.
And from all I can see, the set you have pointed out should be removed. The set, checklist, and lone card scanned were all by the same member.
