I picked up a few of these cards which are very much the same standard format as the Exhibits we seefromthe 1930-50s in sports. I amguessing that I have 4 different series in the cards I have - USAF aircraft, Movie stars, "Girls", and American West. I have a few of each. Anyone ever see similar cards or knowof a site that wouldlist allofthe possible known exhibit card sets?
I will post the other two possible sets in another thread.

Thanks for the link but there are no images so difficult to identify. As well, it is mostly modern sets he has listed from what I could see. Nothing under Exhibits. The one area I was able to find was on the USAF but none of his checklists were # and the two I have of those are actually numbered (8 Northrop X4 & 26 Republic F-84E Thunderjet).

If you go to http://non-sport.com/ and type "Exhibit Supply Company" in the search a full list of all ESCO sets will come up. Unfortunately this site uses Java so I am unable to share a direct link to the two sets.
The jet is from a 1955 set title "Planes: Series II (W452-2) and the other looks to be from one of two sets of "Movie Stars & Entertainers (W401)" issued in either the 50's or 60's. The checklist for these sets is incomplete.
EDIT:
If you would like I can have the checklist for the "planes" and the "Indian" sets uploaded in just a couple minutes.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

If you have that easy access to the checklists, go ahead. I will then upload images so that it is easier to identify them.

Chuck, mine are very blue in color. Do you know if this site's images are very real or come up black & white?

Found another one of Ray Corrigan in the "Western Stars: (Unnumbered) (#5580)". Though I had 2 of the set but my other card of Lane Chandler is not in listed in this set.
cnangle, I know you know a fair bit about the vintage cards like this. When the sit elists 4 different colors for the cards, is it that all the cards can be found in each color or that the set is a mix of those colors?

ESCO routinely printed their sets in various colors. "Planes: Series II" was printed in both B&W and blue (all cards came in both colors). The "Indians & Western Scenes" was printed in B&W, Sepia, and Green.

Just discovered the blue version of the Planes series. Great site for most sets out there. Is there a way to search it by the name of a personality?
