I asked my wife for the answer to this question. Her answer, "I put up with it. If you could keep it in the one room I would support it wholeheartedly, but since some of it is currently in the living room I put up with it".

I went with puts up with it, but I think it's a little better than that. To me, wholeheartedly makes it sound like she's into it as well. She's not, and I'm guessing she'd rather I spent my money on something else. We have three bank accounts: our joint checking/savings accounts where bills/retirement is kept, and we each have a personal account that is just used for monthly play around stuff. As long as my card spending comes out of my personal account, then there are no questions asked. If she started consistently seeing debits in the main account from ebay or comc we'd be having a conversation.

I think my wife would say she is in between wholeheartedly and puts up with it, as well.

I just got back into the hobby after a twenty-year break. Her first question was "What am I supposed to do with these cards after you pass?" Yes, we are boomers, but I was a little thrown by the question. Maybe I'll leave the collection to the dog. :)

I also asked my wife and she said somewhere in between the "Yes" and the "Puts up with it". We both have hobbies that we enjoy, and it works out rather well.

my workstation is in my back room, past the washer and dryer so i know my cards are save, because those things are like Kryptonite to the wife , she deals with it, though out of sight, out of mind. she knows if im down there that im not getting into any other type of trouble, or doing laundry.

My current wife tends to like whatever makes me happy. My first wife... well... let's just say that my card collecting was a factor in why she's now my ex-wife.
Although somewhat hilariously, her fiancee also collects.

Turning off trading because my collection is in complete disarray after moving and I don't know when I can get it organized.

The poll is missing a possible answer... "they're virtually unaware of it"

Ive said this before, but everyone should have at least one hobby they can enjoy without being pestered. When I worked at a hobby shop, all the guys would ask us to put their items in a plain bag so their wives wouldn't know where they'd been. So many of them would get nagged about their hobbies, but it was OK for the partners to have hobbies. Everyone needs something they can get lost in and enjoy.

My girlfriend not only fully supports my collection, she has her own collection logged on here. It's a lot of fun being able to enjoy the hobby with her.
