Hey everyone!
I don’t use this site very often but I’d really like to.
Does anyone know if it’s possible to IMPORT some of my cards (as a csv file if necessary) to TCDB?
My intention isn’t about adding them to my “collection”.
I only care about posting them for sale. (Without trade)
I tried to google this and everything I found was about exporting versus importing. And that’s pretty irrelevant for someone who has only like 5 cards listed and 50,000 to list…

No. Auto import and auto export is not available.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

Currently there is no way to import the data, however the tools available now make it a pretty fast process. I had an inventory of 93,000+ cards that I added earlier in 2023 and a lot of the tips and tricks I used are discussed in a forum thread (I'll add the link to it at the end).
The key is to have the cards (or the info, if you have it all already inventoried) organized in the same manner that they are found here on TCDB. Then, depending on how many cards you have from set to set, there are methods for getting that data in. Use the "Add Multiple (Textboxes)" method if for most of the set, you have more than 1 card of each available (that was my main method). If you have the list of card numbers and only have 1 of each (or one of most), the "Add by Card Number" method would be super easy and fast. I was able to enter my 93K+ inventory (with some re-sorting, re-organizing, and re-situatingin boxes along the way) in about 3 weeks.
Here is that thread: https://www.tcdb.com/Forum.cfm/Page/I/ID/0/?MODE=VIEW&ThreadID=41720

Also, you will be adding them to for sale/trade so you'll want to make a note in your profile that you are only interested in selling to make it clear as I think the vast majority of users on here tend to trade.

Wasting your time. Majority of members are trading.

I'll respectfully disagree on this statement - as far as it being a waste of time. True, most members on here are trading, however there are quite a few who are willing to buy, especially if the price is conducive to a good deal for both sides. So, as long as your prices are in line with or better than other sites, you can do well here.
Remember, generally, ebay is a minimum of 99 cents per card plus shipping, COMC is a minimum of about 44 cents per card plus $5 to ship any quantity, Sportlots is a minimum of 20 cents per card plus what each individual seller asks for shipping, and baseballcardstore.ca is 20 cents per card (flat rate, includes the shipping). So if your card prices can meet or beat those, sales will happen here. People won't be beating down your virtual door, but they will happen.

What is this “add by card number” feature and how does one get to it?

My eBay store.- Be sure to check it out! FOR SALE/TRADE: View my profile for details! If there's a certain player you want, ask me about them, I'll probably have a card of their's that I'm willing to trade but haven't marked on my FS/T list. For more specific info, visit profile or message me.

Go to any set, go to the Collection Summary. It is one of the options under Add/Update

I sincerely appreciate the honesty.
I sincerely don’t think I could sit through the whole process of listing every single card all over again.
I started posting my inventory on BSC on October 9th by myself and have a little over 28,000 cards listed with plenty more to go there now.
Is there a bulk lister method on here similar to that site?
I’m sincerely just curious about this though:
(I understand that this site is geared towards trading versus buying but it really doesn’t hurt to try to list things aggressively/ below market values (or at a price point that would entice other sellers to potentially offer to buy a bulk lot of cards from me.. to make their profit as well..) when you’re only interest is to move inventory in bulk without expecting to become a millionaire or whatever…)
Like where I can select the sport, year+ brand/set, variation/ subset, condition and standard prices across the board to be pre-filled for me, with the only effort that I have to make on the entire set is to simply add my quantity of cards, leaving the ones I don’t have from the set blank in the quantity box and just updating the inventory like that?
I’m not saying any of this to really offend anyone but I’m not a collector. I’m doing this for an elderly woman well past her working days who sincerely needs the money (whatever amount she can get out of it).
I’m helping her sell off the substantial collection of their family member who passed away and splitting the proceeds of the sales with her after my payments are cleared off whatever sites I sell the cards on.
