So looking to add the Pokemon Gold Part 2 playing cards (and maybe other sets too) but not sure if the numbering should include the numbering on the card or the card suit since both exist.

Card number is 220 but also can be identified by 9 of hearts.

Only cards with conflicts like other playing card sets are the jokers.

Should probably use the playing card number/suit. That other number is the Pokedex number (basically, the number assigned to the specific Pokemon itself - it doesn't actually have anything to do with the card numbering). For instance, #220 is Swinub, which is what's pictured on the card you linked.

This might be less straight forward than I realized as characters can exist on different cards.  Looks like a letter is added to card numbers to differentiate which card they belong to but this looks a lot more complicated to compile.

Take a look at some of the baseball playing card sets "Hero Decks" to see how they are formatted.
