there has always been a an ad at the top of the page and along the side, but if i scorll down they go away, why did this one at the bottom that doesn't go away all of a sudden start?

I am in no way a tech expert. I thought maybe the new ads were a neccessity to improve the slowness of the database due to the growth. Need more financial support to upgrade the server. That may make no sense at all. I am going to the Premium also. I take it that will eliminate all ads.

Honestly whenenver I visit a website that has these static following ads I immediately consider it not a site I will visit often. I enjoy this site a lot and contribute my time when I can updating the database but figured I'd give my opinion on it. It really doesn't bother me but I just hope it doesn't defer potential other people from considering this site for all their trading card needs :-)

The adds have been bugging me for the last week or so also. Just upgraded this morning. No adds, I love it!

I believe yes...I noticed this add about 2 weeks ago and it corresponded to the timing of the site's lagging problems for me.

are there any other perks that come with the premium membership or is it just the removal of adds?

The only difference with the premium membership is that you have no ads. The site is otherwise the same.
