I personally just use this site to track my collection, so the new pricing thing isn't a HUGE deal for me, but I agree with you that a lot of the prices are inaccurate. Yes, that's what they've sold for, but at sportlots I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that they do things backwards where the shipping cost is the price and the price is the shipping cost. System doesn't make a ton of sense and like you said some unfair trades may be proposed because of it, but I wouldn't get too bothered by it because this site has never the greatest in the pricing aspect of things anyway.
$0.18 confusion aside, I think this site can be truly amazing (more than it already is of course) if there can be a feature where cards that wanted to be sold on FS/T list can be sold through sportlots. Personally, I wouldn't use that, but for some others, this could be quite a useful feature.

Wow! what an amazing feature this is!
Before, card prices were all over the place, but represented what people actually paid for their cards, even if they got a bit overexcited on their ebay bids.
Now, this is fixed: all cards are 18¢. Why value more a HoF card than the other ones when we can use warehouse card inventory dumper's prices as a baseline? In fact, now we can trade a 1988 Score Ken Dayley for a 2020 Topps Chrome Mike Trout card with a clear conscience, as their reference price is exactly the same.
So, as an afterthought, when this site gets API'd to the Beckett Marketplace, will all the cards be priced at 50¢?

FOR SALE/TRADE: View my profile for details! If there's a certain player you want, ask me about them, I'll probably have a card of their's that I'm willing to trade but haven't marked on my FS/T list. For more specific info, visit profile or message me.
