I totally get what you are saying here CAD. YES, the card is "altered", but it's also a 1/1. So anyone marking it as "needs replacement" is a complete idiot. A true 1/1 has no other version and colored 1/1's also have no other just like it.  "Altered" or not, it's still the only copy available and the scans would have to stay. That just helps explain my frustration with some people thinking they know better than others without really thinking about what they are saying first.

My 2 cents is that it helps the site to add backs when you they are correct even though you don't have all those cards in hand. It saves time for wheover uploads scans of the front. Part of the work is already done. I have uploaded backs for cards I didn;t have before because it gave me something to help out with on the site and I knew they were correct. I have also benefitted from havign back scans already submitted by someone else for a card I was going to submit the front image for. That helped speed me through my queue of cards to be scanned in my collection, so I appreciated the effort that was put in by someone else. 

I have to agree with spaz. Mostly because not agreeing might get ugly!

Just for the record, I almost always override the point farmed back with the actual back when I have the card in hand...even when it's one of my own scans that somebody else has reposted. 

The only times I don't are when my card is damaged or the scan didn't come out as good, although the former is much more common than the latter. 

I see your point.     But this is all hypothetical

OK it is allowed and someone see it and goes  OK!!   no one put AU in the notes so I will.  Now the title of the card is wrong as it was released as a non-autographed card.  

You are right about marking it needs replacement as there should not be any others out there so there is no image to replace the card.   But we all know the card companies do make others but do not mark them yet. Just in case.   

If and when something like this would happen it will have to be sent to Admin for a yes or no
