Why have these sets changed from Donruss Crusade to Leaf Crusade? Other sites refer to them as Donruss Crusade. Both Beckett and PSA grade them as Donruss Crusade. The word "Leaf" apperars nowhere on the cards. Why the change?

Because according to sources, they were released in 1998 Leaf. TCDB policy is to list cards with the set they were released in: https://www.tcdb.com/FAQ.cfm?ITEM=ListingInserts
Same reason Panini printing plates are listed with the set they're inserted in, not with the set that they're plates of.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

According to sources I've seen these cards (130 card set) were inserted into three (3) different products. The first 100 cards '98 Donruss - 40%, '98 Leaf - 30% and '98 Donruss Update - 30%. Cards 101-130 went into '98 Leaf Rookies and Stars. Why should Leaf take precedence here, on cards that don't even bare their name?

I'm not sure what the question is. I'm looking at the Crusade listings in each set. There are comprehensive release notes discussing the breakdown of the set. Each set, Donruss, Leaf, etc. appears to only have those cards that were released with that set.

I'm not understanding either. Only those cards that were inserted into different products have changed. The cards that were inserted into Donruss are still listed as inserts under Donruss.
Everything is listed correctly, and I found the Release Notes very clear to help explain what was going on.

It's more random than that. Crusade Green is currently set up correctly, and Purple and Red are still in the process of having collection info moved over prior to deletion. 40 cards were in Donruss Series One, 30 cards were in Donruss Update (Series Two) and 30 cards were in Leaf, but it wasn't a simple breakdown like #1-40, #41-70 and #71-100.
Donruss Crusade Green (which is a mix of Series One and Update)
