If you're at least level 3 permissions (edit names/links, edit teams/links, add names), and you can't (or don't) upload card images, don't crop images and don't work on IRs, there's another way you can help the site:
* If you know of certain names or fictional characters that may be used more than once, there's a high chance there are cards mixed between player IDs (PIDs) and incorrectly assigned. For example, I just had to reassign somewhere between 50 and 100 "Reggie White" cards earlier today due to the Hall of Fame DE's cards being assigned to the Jets RB and vice versa. We just had a project where we reassigned hundreds of "Josh Allen" cards because the Buffalo QB was mixed with the Jacksonville LB. Instead of reporting every card via IR, it would be a huge help if members passed the first few easy quizzes and got the appropriate permissions to assist with edits. For those that aren't sure what the PID is, it's after "pid" in a person's link. For example: Mike Trout (https://www.tcdb.com/Person.cfm/pid/37543/) is PID 37543 in this database. It's not just players where we run into this issue ... it's also Marvel characters, show characters, even basic things like animals, states, nature, angels, etc. If there's something you really enjoy that's on this site, check the linked Names and make sure they're assigned to the correct character, and if we need to create a new PID, it only takes a few easy steps! It looks like the Marvel, G.I. Joe and other comic characters really need a thorough check.
* For the most part, team IDs (TIDs) are OK except colleges, especially on "Multi-Sport" sets. Most members may not be aware that colleges have multiple TIDs based on sport, so Duke basketball, Duke football, Duke baseball, Duke soccer and Duke misc sports all have different TIDs. I'm close to finishing cleanup of hockey, soccer, misc and baseball, then I'll start working on football and basketball in some order, but if you're a college fan, check the Team links and make sure we have the right TID. If not, simply edit the Team link and change the ID to the correct one!
Thanks!

Just a minor point of clarfication on PIDs and usage. Animals (and oplants and such) should NOT have PIDs. For example, "turtle" or "box turtle" should not be PIDs. If there was a famoud turtle named like Tommy Turtle, that should get a PID.
Another example would be Rin Tin Tin. A real dog, and that was his actual name, would get a PID, but "German Shepherd" would not get a PID.

The college teams in multisport issue got me a few months ago when I was working on the 1995 5-Sport set. There are cards in the set with two players from the same school but different sports like this one:
At first I was thinking that the same team didn't need to be linked twice on the same card, but it didn't take me long to realize that they were in different sports. From there, it was fairly easy to make sure that each link pointed to a TID in each sport. I never did figure out a way to get them to consistently display in the order that corresponded to the order of the player names, but that is probably not necessary, just need to make sure that both links are present for searches and filters to find the card. As I recall, the team name does need to appear in the Team field twice in this case. If you only list it once, the ability to multi-link goes away and it only links to one TID or the other.

Another point (that I verified with Admin)......if you are doing Gaming/Comic cards, you will run across the same name possibly for different characters. Each should have their own PID within their correct catagory.
EX: Goblin King
Goblin King for Gaming has this PID (https://www.tcdb.com/Person.cfm/pid/159971/)
Goblin King for Comics has this PID (https://www.tcdb.com/Person.cfm/pid/159970/)
If there are multiple gaming cards brands with the same name, they can be grouped together. (Can't think of an example currently though.....)

So, for example, you're saying that there is no need to disambiguate the two different "Tex" cards in the Gaming category:
https://www.tcdb.com/Person.cfm/pid/243005/-Tex
but they would not get grouped with "Tex" in Non-Sport (if there were such a PID).
Is that right?

There are a lot of generic bird PIDs created for the early 1900s sets, so we might need to do some cleanup
