There should still be a strong effort made to complete the checklist. The only thing I don't like about the "TBA/TBD" sets feature (which, overall, I love) is that is can be used as a crutch for those who are only interested in tracking their collection to upload one-card checklists without doing some work. "Well I couldn't find any/much/enough other information, so I just put it in as TBD and figured someone else could help."
Bounty13, this is in no way directed at you. I know the dedication and time you put forth to get things right; I'm simply stating in general. Remember, the reason it wasn't okay to upload a TBA/TBD checklist was never because we didn't have a place to document which checklists were like that - that was just one of many good reasons, and the easiest to fall back on when asked why, if we're being honest (it was for me, anyway).
If you make a conscious effort to try and find a full checklist, and can't, this new tool is invaluable for helping us keep track of those that need work, and definitely puts us in a better position than we were two days ago (or whenever this kicked into effect). But I know that if I work in this area, and find a full checklist within a few minutes of searching the internet, I'll be very frustrated that myself or another member with appropriate permissions now must go in and do more work, and I'm sure others will feel the same - not that many would care about our feelings, but the point is that the help you'll find in that area under those circumstances would be drastically reduced if it becomes a reptitive cycle of a situation like I described above.
Long way to say that I like the feature, but just because it makes our lives easier doesn't mean that we should take the easy way out.
I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.
