I know there are a ton of tools on this site, many of which I don't even know about, but is there some way to tell if the number of scans is cathing up to the number of cards listed? What I mean is are we adding scans in at a rate that is faster than we are adding new checklists? I'd like to think that eventually we will get the majority of cards scanned in, though I know with all the autos and limited print cards, we will never get everything scanned in, but it would be nice to think that most cards can be seen on this site.
On a related note, seeing all thsoe galleries from the 30's and 40's pop up every now and then on the front page just really amazes me.

In short, no.
The rate varies, but scans are being added at between a third to half the rate of cards. That means that the % complete figure is improving (we're almost up to 25% overall), but at the current level of effort, the database will top out at about 50% of cards having images. I hope that as the % complete improves, the database attracts more users and we get even more critical mass of contributors. That could drive it closer to completion.

I hope to contribute to the scans one day right now I am just busy enough entering my cards to trade. I come across 100's (approx 600-1,000) that dont have sans. But once I start and figure out what I am doing I am sure in my 19,000+ card PC I could help out on about 200-300 of the very short prtint runs 1/1 - 1/50

In addition to new modern sets every year that are still thousands of pre-war sets that haven't been added to the database yet. Plenty of work to do.

With 1/1 sets, plus four colors of printing plates for many sets, etc., we can only fall further behind. Would be near impossible to gain.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Over the last 6 weeks, the needle moved from 24.6% listed to 24.93% listed. Positive movement but a lot of work still to do. There are too many SP and SSP plus older cards that will never be caught up.

I'm sure that if you tell Admin the various types of reports you'd like to see on the site, most, if not all, will be created.
