I gave up on pricing accuracy a long time ago. It used to bother me but not anymore. I think the changes made helped for uncommon cards. I don't think anything is better for commons. I have suggested before for commons I would rather see a formula that took the current set value divided by the cards in the set for a common price because cards at this level it is next to impossible to find a link to substantiate the common price. So if a 792 card set is selling for $25 the common price would be (25/792=.03). It's not happening so I can live with it. They are commons after all. I think that the changes do help with uncommon cards. I hope that most members can realize that a 1989 Donruss common holds next to no real value and can evaluate things properly from there.

Heresy!
A few years ago someone else had a burn party for the same excuse and it didnt go well for him. Absolutely no reason to destroy good cards. Heck, in the volume if trades I'm doing now there is a demand for that era still. Besides, you wouldn't make a dent anyhow.

Man that reminds me there was this guy on eBay way back in the early 00’s that would run auctions to destroy 50-100 count lots of ‘87 Topps cards. The item descriptions were a rant about overproduction and the internet making everyone realize how bad it was along with the point of saying the only way anything from that era gains value is if we start destroying it. I’m pretty sure they were mostly joke auctions but they ran regularly for awhile

Why, why???? there are many of us trying to put master sets together from that era. And there are some gems during that time frame and some of those years aren't "junk era". Why such sacrilege? Why not a home where they are wanted?!

Most of the graded cards of the junk wax era is $90-$19 vs 50s cards is 25-13million graded. if 80s-90s cards reach same stats as 50s or 60s cards price.
