From a guy who loves sportsn who has enough cards to fill a bedroom full of shelves, who loves watching sports and talking It, who has only attended 1 hockey game in their life in Birmingham Alabama and who doesn't remember the teams name but saw 2 pucks take 2 fans out on stretchers so I like it live, who in Navy Boot Camp had buddies that only watched hockey or watched like we in BAMA watch SEC Football & NASCAR like a religion, CONGRATS MAN! THAT'S 1 OF ONLY 2 HOCKEY PLAYERS I CAN NAME WITHOUT CHEATING AND THE OTHER I CAN'T REMEMBER HOW TO SPELL HIS MULTIPLE CONSONANTS THRU FIRST AND LAST (MESSEI?) ANYWAY - CONGRATS PAL!
That's a 1/2 so actually having it graded could hurt the value. Cards with low pops or runs like that aren't a suggestion for having graded due to the rarity and a PSA 8 on that wouldn't kill it but it won't add anything right?
I would use the Ultra-Pro One Touch Magnetic with exterior sleeves for case protect!! If the other one shows up, and it would on eBay knowing those box busters that cash in and buy again, then a grade might work.
I would only take it to a show for grading while in view bcz of my horrific grading card service theft of my GEM Cal Ripken Jr RC in 1996 that they "lost" & before "finding it" bcc I insured it for $1K they claimed to find it and sent me an 8 & another in a sleeve with s sticker saying it was trimmed, DON'T LET IT OUT YOUR SIGHT!
It is probably an Artist Proof or Players Edition, I don't know Hockey card lingo although I have some 95 or 96 SP, Leaf Certified, Ultra-Pro, Hockey cards that I know a Gretzky is one of them but the rest of them I wouldn't know if they were stolen or not, might have a gem in them cause they went into sleeves & toploaders when bought bcz they were high priced back then.
I know you love the NFL & NBA & that's a gem bro! Maybe Gretzky would buy it like the Honus Wagner tobacco card right? He paid $750K or so and then auctioned it to Walmart who gave it away to customer in promo salrs, and she sold it after the Wal-Mart give away for close to $3.2 million!!!
Money isn't everything but for a baseball card nabbing $3,000,000.00 I could part ways cause I would be rich and have the story....
Congrats Man!!! Awesome Pull & Nothing Like It Right?
