I just noticed that some genius "member for a day" threw a price in for a 1991 Wild Card - NFL Redemption Cards #126G Bruce Smith of $150. The card is worth fifty cents. Should would be nice to be able to clean this up. Oh, and he said it was graded "gdvg".

This site is way too open and trusting for its own good. Someone taught me how to suppress the pricing results and I never looked back.

Okay it back to 50 cents for you. I recently came across some like that that. cards were valued at $30 not 30 cents. I took it as a decimal point missing

I find a lot of cards, usually the pricing input by the same people, that are way overinflated and a lot of times, look to have teh decimal in the wrong spot. I think the pricing feature could be a great and valuable tool, but there needs to be some policing it and potentially restrictions to access. I would love to be able to trust the site to get me something close enough to the price of my cards and then if I really wanted to purchase or trade, I could do some of my own research to fine tune it. But when I see cards that might be worth $0.75 on a good day show $15.00 it is very frustrating.

How is it now at 50-cents when the $150 still shows as the auction price? Does retail override auction pricing?

the first one brouht it down to $75.00 the second to .50 cents. not sure why i was exspecting $35. I think it goes by how old a price is also.
I only enter prices I paid on that date & grade for cards I buy.

Someone removed the ridiculous $150 listing. That's how it dropped so far. I was going to do it when I read this, but someone beat me to it. If any of you see a price listed by me, it is accurate. Not by a buy or sell price, but by book value. We can't list something as BV on here now for the possibility of being sued by the only company that puts out BV's now. The way I see it though, if I am paying them to see the values, I am able to add that information to any other places that I have my cards listed. If I list a price under Auction, that's how much I paid or have been offered for a rare card. If the price I list is retail, it's the book value. I generally buy or sell for 1/3rd to half of the BV.

Here's something revolutionary. Why not post a price everytime you buy or sell something. I think that's what most of us do.
