Is anyone familiar with any card shops in the west Houston area, anywhere near I-10? I know the Shop locater has one in Katy where I live and I'll visit it maybe today, but don't really see any others. I just thought I'd ask any of my Houston area members.

The Sports Connection (12280 Westheimer) between Dairy Ashford and Kirkwood is not far, and other than Odyssey in Katy,  I do not know of any other in the entire Houston area.  Go to Sports Connection to buy a case of 9-card holders a couple times a year but their cards are kind of expensive.  Shop is very cluttered but does have some nice memorabilia.  Have never been to Odyssey, although I sent my son there last year to pick up the free pack on National Trading Card Day.

Let me know about the place in Katy.  Is it worth the trip?  I live in Cypress so not that far.

Will do, and thanks for the info. It's amazing in such a major city that there are not that many card shops. Maybe they're all operating online stores.

I checked out Odyssey Comics and Cards and it's a nice store. Has a good setup and the owner's very friendly. He seems to have less vintage (baseball pre-1981) than modern cards. The prices seemed a bit higher than the median values I see on our site.

Whenever you guys are in the Houston Metro area check them out. There was a guy from Indiana traveling for work who dropped buy to purchase some cards.

I didn't buy anything, as I simply wanted to check it out for now.
