How much does a Drew Pearson autograph boost the value of 1979 Topps #70 Drew Pearson - Dallas Cowboys? 

Is it authenticated?  Will decide value as well as the condition of card and signature.  

No it's not authenticated because we simply stood in line, got him to sign it, and left the store. This was back in '92 or '93. The card is ungraded but in near mint condition.

i'm not trying to sell it, just wanting to give it a value.

So hard to say with on card autographs that are not authenticated. You were there so you know it is real but anybody looking to buy one would have reason to be suspicious. Value is so arbitrary as FMV really means what a willing buyer would pay for something. Three buyers may have completely different ideas as to value and offer three very different prices. For these reasons I make no attempt at valuing autographs. Your best bet if you really want a baseline is to find sources where the similar card with an autograph has sold. Ebay may have some. Sample sizes are often really low though. If you took it to an appraiser they would simply look for comparable sales to provide a value. With really small samples they would look for similar players from the era to increase sample size.

Yeah, i agree with what you say. I was just wondering. I'll never sell it, though my wife may upon my demise.
