If I accepted a trade and then never got any cards from the trade, do I mark the transaction as problem or unfinished?

Problem and send your trade partner a message. How long has the trade been accepted?

It's been over a year. Good thing I never sent the cards, the partner said they would send first since they had terrible feedback. I thought I'd give them a chance to improve it and see if the cards ever came.

Have you messaged the member at all during that time? Is the member still active on the site?

I've sent probably 10-15 messages over the year, never got a reply to one. Funny thing is, the member proposed another trade to me after 8 months. I replied to the new trade and asked if it was a joke because of the 8 month old transaction. They told me to reply to the old transaction to move it to the top of their queue. I did, and then never heard from them again after even more tries.

If you have contacted the member multiple times with no resolution to the original trade request, and are confident they have been active on the site recently (including completing other trades), I'd name him/her. There's no reason others should suffer a similar experience. It was smart of you not to send!

They have been active throughout the year on the site and I just left my first ever negative feedback on for them. Their feedback rating is around 85%, and although they appear to be doing better, this appears to be a trend. I am confident if anyone checks their trade partners ratings they will be more than aware this perhaps isn't a consistently good trade partner. I don't think there is a need to name them, I just wanted to know how to classify the transaction.

That's your decision. 85% is pretty low; a percentage in that range should be a red flag for those newer users who are learning their way around the sites' functions.
Just block them and move on to better transactions!
