I recently found out from my son that my granddaughter (who's 8 yrs old) has become interested in Pokemon. I am wondering if these are cards people collect on this site and if so where do I find them listed? I know nothing about these as I am mostly a hockey card collector. I might want to do some trades down the road so I can have some acquired  for her to get her started in collecting these. Any info on how and what to collect for these cards would be appreciated. THANKS!!

You can find some massive lots of probably random Pokemon cards on eBay, for relatively cheap if she is looking to play more than collect.

You can find plenty of Pokemon under the 'Gaming' category.

Also I bet she has favorite characters. I would ask her who she likes

A great wiki on many things released can be found at https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Main_Page and I use it often as a reference when I add new sets on here.

A great way to get an idea of cost on cards is tcgplayer.com which is now owned by eBay but a great resource on finding what the cost of English TCG cards are.

As others mentioned it depends if she is more into the trading card game or actually wanting cool cards of their favorite Pokemon.  Anyone actually wanting to play the game can get any card for extremely cheap, only the promo, alternate art, etc cards fetch high dollar amounts.

THANKS ALL for the replies!!!  I had no idea it was an actual game. My granddaughter is fairly new to Pokemon so not sure where she's going with it yet. All I know is she likes to draw some of the characters. I'll give her some time and see where she is with it in a few months. Appreciate the info from all.
