Is there an option to export my collection (in something live CSV or excel)?

No. And no plans to have a feature like that.

Welcome to the site I guess, but it's odd you're immediately asking this on the same day you signed up...

I am looking for a way to store all my baseball card collection.  I put them in a Commodore 64 database when I was a kid and then printed out the file and haven't messed with since.

I want to put them into a database and look at potential value but I don't want to go to all this effort for it to be locked in somewhere.

I'm a programmer so my original thought was to find a public database that I could download and then check off each card that I had.  Then I found your site that has the nice functionality to add to my collection by entering the cards numbers one per line.  NICE!  Tested it and loved it (with one thing I'd offer to correct below).  However, as I said above I don't want to put a bunch of effort into making a database of my collection if it's not "portable".

In testing it out I put in about 20 numbers and clicked.  However, the list chosen was incorrect.  AND THERE WAS NO WAY TO CHANGE THE LIST AND TRY AGAIN.  So I did a quick copy of the error page, pasted into excel pulled only the numbers out and tried again but it would be nice if on the fail page you could allow to choose a different collection and try again.

Do you have a phone? Internet capabilities? Many of us have used our phones at shops and card shows to help us pass on duplication by pulling up our collection info on the site. Fairly portable in my opinion.

As for the in putting of 20 numbers and the list being incorrect, I gotta ask how you did that because I just used (overused) that feature in the last few weeks and never had an issue (except for a few fat-finger moments when 356 turned into 3567).

This seems like a good place to ask this question. Can I make Ebay lists on here like everyone except me has where you can just scroll thru and select what cards you would like to buy instead of posting them one by one? Im not sure if this is the same thing he was asking about 

@Corbin - You can export smaller pieces of a Collection to PDF or do a copy-and-paste to a spreadsheet to save it locally, but there are no plans to allow APIs for data dips or to export the site's data for use elsewhere.

Hard to tell if that was you being funny or rude.

 ...if this site goes under or just stops for any reason, you lose all your data...that's not very portable.

API connection was my first thought if I was going to write an app and that got me searching.

...but then found this site and figured it wasn't really necessary...but not being able to take my collection as a CSV file and do what I want with it is a no go for me.
