Agree with the sentiments above on OD - I really love it just for the mascot set, although even that has always seemed kind of half-baked to me.

I love opening day for 2 reasons. 1. The mascot cards. 2. Getting autos/relics of players for cheap.

My son (AaronWarrior on here) loves Paws. He's tied for 6th right now in Paws cards. So I will definitely be wanting an Opening Day Paws mascot card, and maybe a couple of the Tigers for his sake, but that's about it.

I switched to Opening Day years ago, because it is affordable. Of course then I have to shoot for true master sets to make it unaffordable. But it is about the only affordable set out there for kids these days. If they can't afford cards, what will eventually happen to the hobby?

It appears they are doing away with OD, Fire, Gallery, Gold label, and a few other I can't remember right now.

Mostly the lower end sets. Although it does seem they are bringing back Big League in late March. Of course with Topps' track record, Big League might not come out until November or so.

These are all the sets not being released this year so far for Topps Baseball: Opening Day, Gold Label, Clearly Authentic, Fire, Bowman 1st Edition, Gallery, Archives Snapshots and Bowman Chrome X.

My understanding is they're not doing Opening Day this year. They've discontinued it along with several other products. It's a bummer because I always found them fun. They were very low cost and great for kids or anyone wanting to just get into collecting or enjoy ripping packs.
