Lucky! I just paid $128 for an 01 Absolute Memorabilia Spectrum s# 06/10 David Justice. Justice collectors are nuts. I should know, I'm one of them. Also, I bought a 05 Donruss Campions Materials David Justice #226 for $20 last night. Today, I get a ping on my phone & one is listed on eBay for $7.99 -plus the seller offered me a dollar off. With shipping/tax that brings the total to $9.81. I have no impulse control when it comes to cards. 

Certainly not the same thing, but just the other day I saw a $5 card sitting at a bid of .99 , (thinking it would go for under $5) then watched that card go up to $28, a $3 card sell for $12, and a $8 SN199 card go to 65,  (an SN50 could be bought for $10) Someone may say well thats what theyre worth then, but the low numbers are what they can be bought for retail. The thing that really baffles me is that none of the 3 players are active nor HOF-worthy

Not cards, because once I have it I don't need more and stop looking. 

However, I was at a model show in Minnesota this past Sunday and bought a kit for $17. At the other end of the show there was another copy for sale for $5. To add to that, the one for $5 was a table run by a friend and I would have liked helping him out by not having to bring the stuff home. (He was more interested in clearing space rather than making a profit)

Smacking myself a bit for that one, but at least he did sell it to somebody. Maybe someday I'll even actually build it.

Mine is that I'll buy something without checking Sportslots first. Nothing like paying $5 for a card, only to find out you could have bought it for $0.50 on Sportslots, lol.

Paid $20 for a George Kell autograph worth $7.99. Annoying, but true.

Then again, the next day I bought a wax pack (Can't impulse control, from a set I didn't have complete and $0.50) and pulled a big auto (Barry Sanders/25). It all balances out.

Guilty as charged on this one. I paid $30-$40 for a 62 Ford postcard of Don Mossi. Picked up another this year in a lot of four postcards for $8. I will need to update my eBay search so I don't pick up a third. I have done the Sportlots doh a few times too.

Erik's comment made me think of something along the same lines. Back in 2015-16 NBA season I was one card short of the Hoops set, and it happened to be the Karl-Anthony Towns rookie card, the most important card in the set probably, certainly the most expensive to buy as a single. I bought one on eBay to complete the set ...a few months later I got a repack that had a pack of the set and of course I pulled it. I later sent the second one out to somebody in trade on this website.
