When a "set" is released in two separate releases (but same set) what is the criteria of having them separate/same listing? Would the series 2 just be added to the series 1 listing or is it an entirely separate listing?

For sports, usually if it's the same year and a continuation of the set numbering, the series get merged into one checklist. If each series gets numbered #1 to whatever, they get listed separately. If #1-100 is one year, #101-200 is the following year, #201-300 is the year after that, etc., they get listed separately but can be linked together by dropdown.

For Non-Sport and other categories, it can vary.

Except, of course, if the high number cards come from packs of another set, then it becomes a schizophrenic puzzle, for example:

1. 2001 Upper Deck Rookie Update - 2001 Upper Deck Sweet Spot Update (contains #91 to 150 of the 2001 Upper Deck Sweet Spot set)
2. 2001 Upper Deck Rookie Update - 2001 SP Authentic Update (contains #181 to 240 of the 2001 SP Authentic set)
3. 2001 Upper Deck Rookie Update - 2001 SPx Update (contains #151 to 210 of the 2001 SPx set)
4. 2002 Upper Deck Rookie Update - 2002 Upper Deck Diamond Collection Rookie Update etc...

The beauty of this system is that it helps us all keep in mind, from an historical and archeological point of view, what you could find in Upper Deck packs 20-somewhat years ago; the down side is that you have to remember from which packs the cards came from in order to manage your complete set of low and high numbered cards.

Or maybe its just a trap that was set to tease fellows like me ;-)

As long as the Release Notes get updated (and the linking feature gets fixed), the location of the cards shouldn't be an issue.
