I just posted the first 300 cards for the 94-95 pinnacle hockey set and found a really bad price mistake. Card #288 Sylvain Turgeon Ottawa Senators. The median price for this card is $ 42.99. How is this card $ 42.99 and on eBay some one payed $65.00.why would somebody pay more than 25 cents for this card. This card is not worth that amount. Wayne Gretzky, Mario lemieux, Sidney Crosby the bigger player cards I could understand that but not a 94-95 pinnacle card of Sylvain Turgeon. Would someone tell my why this player and this card ?

The reason it is priced so high is that the kid sitting on his father's lap in the front row is Patrick Kane.

Believe the reason and the price inflation of the card is due to a young Patrick Kane who is sitting in the stands. It's a novelty card in that respect with some perhaps considering it Kane's first card. Hope that helps. 

Because someone entered it as a price they paid for the card.

Whether it is true or represents current (out ever) reality is another question.

This is one of the flaws of a crowd sourced prices that are entered at a fixed point in time but meaning to represent a dynamic market.

Take all prices here - and anywhere else - with a grain of salt.

Just looked it up on ebay and I see several asking prices around that.  Selling prices seem closer to around $15 for it.
