Are there any down-sides to using card saver 1s? I was considering using them to store my less valued minis. The majority of them are stored in top-loaders, which are huge waste of money and space.
Any input would be great.
Thank you

Not sure if you use pages at all, but the ones designed to hold coins work great for minis, Slurpee coins, Score trivia squares, etc.

If you have CardSavers on hand, I see no major problem with using them for your mini's. BUT, I would put them in penny sleeves first. For one thing, it makes it easier to get the mini's out if you need to for some reason. Also, CardSavers are pretty tight and the sleeves would keep the cards from getting pinched enough to get stuck inside the Saver. Ed's thought's about coin pages is a good one, but it doesn't really cost less or save any space vs. toploaders.

I like the idea of an album but I'm trying to keep them all together in two shoeboxes. I've actually put quite a few into my traders because the boxes became too full.

I guess I'm going to have to buy a small amount of the 1s and 2s. I'm not sure that the 2s are that much thinner than a toploader, so would I be actually making any more space using them?

I really don't think there is much difference b/t the 1's and the 2's as far as thickness. I have some of those sitting around here, including the UltraPro brand of them. If you want them, I'd be happy to sell them for pretty cheap. I need to see what I still have of those "semi-rigid card holders", but send me a PM if you are interested in buying them. Some of them have never been used and were bought by accident online when I clicked the wrong box. Just LMK.

Thanks for offering. I actually ordered some 1s and 2s, a couple of hours before you replied. I didn't order that many though, so I may want yours later on, if you still have them. I'm going to put some commons in them and leave them on my closed-in back porch in the sunlight, just to see how the plastic reacts.

Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to stay away from the pages, although cards do look nice in them. I'm really just trying to maximize the space of 2 shoeboxes, so I thought the card savers might do the trick.
