There likely is a way and it would be just a lot of investigative searching to find the right formula to complement what you want to copy/paste.
The reason why we are here so much is that we use the checklists and import that data and create files to upload to the store/site
and its a huge gamechanger, imagine if we had to actually type every character yikes.v
I've never tried to add much of a list here but i will ask the better half of Nancy and Steven when she wakes up, i think she may have an answer and the secret formula to get your data into your csv excel files

I did a request a while back, no idea if it is something that will be even pondered or needs voting on, your words echoed mine in that i thought this site was near perfect as well except for 1 issue for 2 aspects (collecting and selling), the ability to import or make entering the data "friendlier"
Looking from a collectors point of view , we looked again and tried a few things but as you likely already know things just don't copy paste nice.
If you were starting from scratch and without inputting data into the "collection" here on the site, there is where i can help you build your database into an excel file for only 9.95 ah never mind i'll just tell you, ring up a set, copy right click and paste into your excel, what you want/have it's that easy except you just need to enter your quantity into a column.
The thing that works for us being on the non-collector side is that the team name comes along for the ride which works perfect for us.
Hope that helps somewhat , if you need any assistance, we'd be glad to help we are here for the hobby, donations are accepted via paypal dwarfie01@gmail.com

Collecting Chicago Blackhawks Hockey, Doug Wilson Hockey, Chicago Bears Older, Notre Dame Football in their college jerseys and Chicago White Sox.

So is it not worth submitting an official feature request for this? Checked the list and didn't see one. I've used other websites before that suddenly went offline or sold and gave no access to the community driven database so being able to export my collection to protect from such things is crucial. There is the export to pdf feature but being able to do it easier into a csv format would be ideal.

You can get a pdf copy of your collection. View any of your collections and click the little folded paper icon with an arrow. You can then select # of columns and whether to include prices. You can save or print the pdfs. If you have the right sort of adobe account or are willing to spend a small sum initially, you can convert pdfs to Excel files......the formatting is weird though. I find it handy to print the pdfs when I am putting away a large amount of cards. Then I don't have to drag my laptop downstairs. I can mark or highlight different items on the pdf to make sure I get everything in the right spot.

There are still no plans to export data to CSV for use elsewhere.

I like reading this post. I wish there was a way to keep track of cards not listed/ unlistable. My collection feels fractured not being able to have everything here, and I get why and that's ok. Something as simple as a text sheet for example would be awesome. This site is the best and would like to be able to list everything here.

I keep a Word Doc, not Excel, that runs parallel with my "Wants" on TCDB. Why do I do this, because its way easier to go to a card show with a summary of my "wants list." This is broken down by year then brand and then card number...no names unless its a key card to the set. While I use TCDB to keep my master list of cards, its kind of time consuming to keep flipping screens on TCDB, expecially when the cards are not in any order. I also use this to track trades on TCDB that are in the proposal state to avoid asking for the same card twice and then receiving duplicates from two different people. It’s a bit old school, but it has its benefits. So to add to what was originally asked for in this thread, I would love to be able to export my entire "wants list" into a CSV/Excel so I can manipulate it and not have to manually add the numbers to my list manually. (I am aware of the PDF export feature, but this is sometimes not easy to manipulate.)

You can copy like in the youtube link above and then paste to Excel with a Paste Special option. I've played around with those a bit when I've had a large sale proposal. I can copy the list of cards from the transaction pdf and do a 'paste special' option to get a workable format. Would work with other lists on the site as well, set lists, collection list, etc. You just need to experiment a bit to find something that works for you. It would be nice to have an Export option, but for now just find ways to work with what we have.....which is quite a lot actually.
