Is there a set way to enter miscut or Misprint cards?
I've taken on collecting miscut and Misprint, along with error cards of my favorite players.
I was wondering if there is even a way to designate these cards as such. I have found some that are missing foil. Others with the wrong card front or back. I even have one that the two sides were 50% off, so basically the different players are represented on the card.
Any advice or suggestions?

We do not add miscut/misprint cards to the database. Though, in your collection you can add a card to your collection and make your own notes for yourself. They are not seen by others so you can keep track of your errors.

Hi Magicaleagle,
This FAQ entry goes into a bit more detail on why mis-cuts aren't allowed to be added as variations, to go with what Corky explained about how you can still note the ones you have if you like.
Do you list mis-cut cards?
Cards are printed in big sheets with many cards printed on one sheet. They are then cut down to individual cards by a machine. If the cutting process is off and the cut does not happen along the appropriate lines, then you end up with a "mis-cut" card that has part of the image missing, but part of another card present.
Since this is due to a misfire during the printing process and not a failure of the proofing/editing process, we do not attempt to catalog mis-cut cards on this site due to their random nature.
Members do have the option of cataloging these types of errors in their personal collections.
Mis-cut cards are usually considered "damaged goods" by collectors, but there is a subset of collectors who do seek out these types of oddities.
They are usually not worth any more than the normal version of the card, but may see nominal increase in value depending on the subject of the card or the team and collector interest in that particular subject/player or team.

Ah, I didn't use a "-", that's why my search didn't find this as a result.
And I can totally understand this. Since I've joined I'm amazed at the volume and detail taken to list and update this massive library of collections.
It's just there has been quite a large time investment into listing cards by their condition, or their grade, and the same need to categorize these cards specifically.
For that same reason, I was just hesitant to list such a card as if it is not an identical version of the same card.
I did make a note on the first card I have inventoried, and have no problem doing that the rest of the way, if needed. Thanks for the quick responses.

Thanks, but my pursuit is mainly on Shaq/Penny and other Orlando Magic players at this time.

In the Deatiled Add, or Edit Details (if the card is already listed in your collection), you can add that info to the "Comment" field. Here is an example of how I have used it for cards that cannot be listed here:
So on the Edit Details page, I have entered "Fall Expo '97" (this is one of those cards that would be embossed at a booth at a card show - any card could be stamped, Admin has instructed that they cannot be listed).
Now, I have the regular card, the Expo card, and one from another show and this is how it displays for me on that card's page:
This is the method that can used for any type of card that cannot be listed here (such as wrong backs, blank backs, missing foil, other print defects, and after-market alterations).

You could make a separate collection for all of your miscut, misprint cards. Then add notes of the specific issue in detailed add and you can scan in your own images.
