I know these sites have 2 different purposes and intentions, personally i need a site with solid information, photos, data(rc or not) etc. so it may be unfair and needless to compare HOWEVER......
Just want to point out, (and yes i am biased after all i am here and can be heard where on Beckett hmmm you are muted except if you express yourself through your profile- good luck with that)
THAT BECKETT SUCKS
a simple search earlier for a Ted Wood RC came up with 0 results on B(try it) and well here we have it acknowledged, i know there is still a ways to go but there always will be as new cards/sets are released every week.
Not to mention they charge $50 last i checked for what you can do here for FREE!
Remember that B site caters to sellers who rely on their structure to be accurate
BUT that's just 1 opinion, let's hear your thoughts.

I hate how variations are listed there. Although some have it in the description, many times they just say "Variation" with a stock photo and what you receive isn't what was in the photo!

YES, exactly !!
I just received their rates to sell on the site(becoming a marketplace seller) and they want big $$ for that NOO way.
And their images are a hot mess too many not there is 1 thing but the wrong images like a seller decided to use 1 to rep the entire set.

I just purchased the premium edition for one year, online only as the dual form was even more and I dont need the paperbacks yet. Need it for the Sacramento hoard, premium gives me "specific" data from both Beckett and eBay as well as "specific" data for ungraded and graded versions. It will be a BIG help in starting a business, however we are still using this site for cataloging and hope at some point to possibly use TCDB for other things as well. But to yuor point premium here is on $60/year lol a much better price point.

I think you are saying you bought the premium edition of Beckett right?
What is the Sacramento hoard?
I was told that having my items in the beckett organize was not anything i could just click and have as my inventory if i wanted to get onto their very expensive marketplace, 100 thousand items and $50 bucks later its been a part of that 30 year learning process to get to THE ultimate platform, my website isn't horrible but it isnt the search structure friendly i would like it to be which comes with a hefty price tag of roughly 5k that i'm just ugh on the fence about
These 2 places Beckett and Sportlots irk me with their near 30% fees they make ebay look damn good as an option and they aren't.
If i could integrate a shopping cart here on TCDB it would be every card business' dream come true and game over for all the other pretenders

I've never tried any of Beckett's online services, but last time I checked, the cost didn't really justify it. I consider myself a part-time collector, so I'd sooner throw my money at a sports streaming service or a Netflix-type subscription than a card pricing utility. Perhaps if I was constantly wheeling and dealing cards, I'd give a membership a shot.

I left the Beckett site in 2006 and have never looked back. They suck.

If you list all your cards on here as "For Sale" and members add them to a transaction, it could function very similar to shopping cart. I do believe you can also enter in the prices you wish the get. Look into it.

I can answer the Sacramento hoard. A couple years ago, a former member of this site decided that he was retiring from collecting and decided to give way his entire collection, I think 300K+, free and clear to anyone willing to stop at his place and haul it away. Daryll just happened to be taking holiday at that time and, I think, in that area. He, and his family, adjusted their plans, grabbed a U-Haul and took everything up to the Canadian Plains. There was a point he was not posting for awhile and we were all afraid he got buried under the boxes as they collapsed on him. Man, if I hadn't been in Australia at that time.... Anyhow, it sounds like he making some decisions on what to do with it.

300K does not sound like a lot, maybe it's just me but right now not counting multiple copies i just did entry 368176 and i do not even have maybe 5% of what is entirely there on the website. The sides on shelf is whats organized on site the entire middle floor stacked taller than me are primarily 5k count boxes of which rough count there were well over 300 of them as well as 1600 and 3200 and 800 ct boxes strewn throughout which will likely end up with a similar fate to the hoard, as no one in my entourage gives a darn about cards
