So, this is quite a story. Recently, I went to a local rummage sale with the hopes of finding a few interesting items. This place was quite large, as it occupied an entire drive-in theatre (featuring 6 screens). Usually, the stuff at these sales are not great. Any cards that people are selling are usually from the garbage era, cards that are taking up space. However, one guy was selling sports memorabilia and cards. I of course bought a few items, and the prices were surprisingly lower than what I would've thought. What I had acquired were as follows:
1970 Topps Reggie Jackson AS
1955 Ohio Ted Williams Matchbox
1954 Exhibition game pamplet featuring the Cardinals and White Sox, signed by Bob Keegan, Nellie Fox, Johnny Lipon, and a few others
5 various sports cards
The point is: it is interesting what people have to offer at a local level. One man's trash is truly one man's treasure.
