I have a very short trading history, but it is at 100%. I am wondering if there exists an easier way to find people who would trade rather than sale? I looked at a few of my wantlist cards and they all were for sale. This makes the hunt for trades a very daunting task and I would rather spend time on the sorting end versus the finding end. I am only active during the long winter months, so I have not been active for a while now, so thanks for the feedback.

I've removed all my football wants because I'm inventorying my collection, but I'll look over the next couple of weeks to see what you have that I'd want. Aside from that do you have any baseball that's yet to be logged into the TCDB system as trade bait?

I just started a couple of years ago on here and started with Football first. I have an extensive collection of baseball, unfortunately I was a victim of what I refer to as "the dead card era". According to Beckett, my collection was worth 10's of thousands at one time...LOL. My hopes are to get baseball in here also, but am focusing on football right now.

I'll take a look at what you have and send you an offer since I mostly trade (only two sales within the past two years).

You'r in the same boat as some of us. Need a lot of cards but narrow focus and not a lot of stars/hot players.
What I have been doing is going to my collection and under reports: Match items on your Wantlist with items on other members' For Sale / Trade lists. Then I check card find the seller and see if I have any cards that they may want. Check to see when they last logged in as there is no need to message or offer to them. I messages 1st to see if they are interested in trading. As I have find some wants to sell only other will not do small trades (PWE), then some do not have want list so it is hard to make a offer.
Bad news is I have 85 cards on that list (Most have not logged in over 6 months) and out of the others I have only gotten 5 replies. (working a couple) I made offers and had to withdraw 7 of them becuse of no replies.
We do have a match. I have not contacted you because of an issue. You have an Ahman Green 2007 Ultra (base) I have traded for this card several times and I recieved the Retail verson. There are several sets that I have done this with and end up with the wrong card. That is why I have put off trading/buying this and a few other cards.
All I can say is KEEP PLUGGING AWAY

You have to look at more than just a few cards and it is hard to find people with football cards and hockey.
I can find people with baseball cards for trade on my first go. But can spend an hour on football before finding someone where we can have a good trade. I've don't trade where it's a mix of baseball for football or hockey. Getting a card that is needed for any extra I have is a go for me. :)
You might want to switch back and forth logging what you have from baseball to football. Getting the baseball up will generate more hits for trades. Also, make sure you have the trade match on. That way you will get a message when cards you want are listed.
I'll take a look and if we both have some cards we both want I'll send you a proposal.
and if anyone reading this has football or hockey cards up for trade. Please hit me up also.

What is that behind you!?! Oh, It's me! Looking at the cards you have, That I want. :)

11K football cards for trade? Hold my beer, I'm going in.
That brings up a good point in finding trade partners for particular sports. There needs to be a way on the site to indicate you're open for business, like the Red Light district in Amsterdam. Maybe an indicator in your profile that you can turn on and off, or that expires after 3 months of no login?
Alternatively, what's the consensus on posts like this in the Trades forum, but with dangling your particularly desirable hits to try and attract trade partners? I had assumed that was what it was for initially but I haven't seen many like that, mostly people linking to pages on ebay.

Several months ago I asked ADIM if it was do able. Some thing like your Red Light.
Our ID names linked to our log in date. Green for last log in was 3 months to present Yellow 3 months to 6 months Red 6 months to 12 months
After 12 months they would go Blue. Along with their want list and FS/FT list would be hiden so they would not show up on any active members list. Then each year he can send out a message to all members to active their list if they want to be active on the site
His reply was: You can see it on their profile or sort on the members directory by log in dates. So it is low on his list to even look at.

I don't think I have anything available to help herkyone but I have been contemplating changing my trading approach. If I open up all my wants and all my for sale/trade I start having my efforts going in a hundred different direction. I now have put a note on my profile page that says if you see some matches message me and I will try to find a match. I have trimmed way back what I have on my want list and I think I am going to try to focus on one particular set for a week or two and then pull that off my want list and focus on something else. I think it might slow my trade activity which is OK because I still have a mountain of cards to log in and sort and organize. I do think though if say I am focusing on 1990 Action Packed football I may just post on the message board that I am focusing on that and looking for trade partners. I think this is more efficient than getting the match list and start going through and seeing that member I'mstillalive hasn't logged in since 2017.
