I was informed yesterday that this card has not reached its destination in Canada.

It was a sale, and I mailed the card on Aug. 2nd, so it's nearly a month. I've traded with another Canadian (sandyrusty) in the interim and he received his package (mailed 8/12 and received 8/24). I mailed as I always do to Canada first class international mail (regular non-package postage), but this is the first time I recall having something take this long to arrive.

Heads up I have. Customs could have done sometrhing to it, who knows anymore. Just an FYI for everyone as well, two of my last five US deliveries have been hit with $22.68 in tax and duty (all in Aug) so buyer / dealer beware of larger packages. Makes tradeing and buying alot more expensive.

In this case it was just one card and he wanted it sent in PWE to avoid additional costs since it was traveling across our borders. I don't know if customs would have intervened in this case, but you never know. 

A postal lady at an american office told me something useful...

If you live close to the border, set yourself up a PO box at the border town.  Saves the fees and the hassles.  I didn't... cuz for the difference of 50 bucks round trip in my kia... plus like 50 a month for the box... it was not worth it.

Remember, Canada Post is slow (at times). When I was up there in July, I sent 2 packages from Westport, ON. One went about 2 hours north (Kari) and was a simple padded mailer with about twenty cards. The other was a rather large box and it went to Darrell about 1,500 miles away.

Darrell received his box in about a week. Kari, thank goodness for his patience, received his about 2 1/2 weeks after I sent it. About 112 miles in 2 1/2 weeks. So, you NEVER know woth Canada Post.

I've heard that there was a problem with somebody sending mercury through the mail in Rochester, NY. if it went through there they may end up destroying it. Slowing down stuff in that area big time. 

I've had some take a month or more to make it to their destination in Canada, so don't give up hope yet.
