Yes, it was nice to find a new job as quick as I did. My last company did give me a severance, so we will be find until I get my first check. With that said, I wouldn't put anything out there about this guy if I thought he was hurting on the job thing. Seeing that he gets on line and makes other trades and makes changes to his tradelist, but can't even respond to a simple message? That is very frustrating! I will never do that to anyone, I guess I was raised differently. Just saying.

Still haven't heard back from NorCalCards707. Is there a guideline on leaving negative feedback? I really do not want to leave it, but want to hear what you all would do?
Thanks,
Scott

Everyone may have their own opinion on this so you will probably get a variety of responses. I think this particular example deserves negative feedback. Of course I'm also the sort of trader that wouldn't get too worried about a small % of negative feedback. I understand that others choose to cut some slack to someone who is going through tough times but if this member has been logging on and ignoring your messages I feel negative feedback is deserved. Had they bothered to respond and update you with something like hey I loost my job, money is tight, I can't pay postage right now I might understand. I thiunk if in the process of a trade a party doesn't follow through and stops responding that warrants negative feedback on that particular transaction. In the very least a neutral but I would call this negative. I want members to help me evaluate exactly what to expect from a member I trade with.

The member was last on 2 days ago (last login 7/14/19).If you had sent them a message, and they did not respond, well, that's not good.
Have you sent them direct PMs or only messages through the transaction manager? They may not be looking in TM (even thoug hthat generates a message, they could be ignoring TM messages not rea;lizing it says Transaction Message).

I opened this same can of worms on a couple of other traders not too long ago and it got nasty quick. It is nice to see this one staying at least civil so far. I think we all have a responsibility to everyone on here to leave feedback if there are serious issues with a trade regardless of what the reason is , if the person does not at least keep in contact then leave the feedback you feel is rational and factual.. I have a trade in the works with this trader and if he does not follow through or at least keep in contact on his personal issues that are effecting the trade I will leave feedback.

I understand wanting to contact a member, but I think some of this is a bit too extreme. Messaging through TCDB is enough. We're talking about pieces of cardboard after all.

Thanks for the feedback.....I have tried to contact him via direct PMs as well as through the transaction manager. At this point I am going to write them off as not received and leave him negative feedback. Hopefully he want do it to someone else.

I'm going to ask a question that might take this a bit off topic. Is there an option for a member to add feedback to negative feedback? I mean let's say that the member in question here gets his personal life straightened out, ships all the cards he was missing, and is back on the correct path. Could he respond to the negative feedback explaining this? Maybe even better yet might be if the member could add an explanation like had a rough stretch but shipped the cards and made things right and the member who left the original negative feedback could mark a confirmation?
I'm really just asking if the member with the negative feedback has an option of explaining what happened? I don't know?

Believe me, I didn't want to leave negative feedback on him. That was the first person I did it on. We all go through personal times. As I explained in this thread, I just lost my job on July 5th. A stamp cost .55 cents and an email is free. I could care less about the cards I lost and the cards I may or may not receive. As a collector/trader on this site, I feel we all have a moral responsiblity to come through on our end of the deal. Otherwise, what is the point of trading in the first place regardless of the trade? As far as being able to respond to any feedback left on your profile, I think it would be a great idea to be able to do that. With that being said, anyone can make a rebuttal stating their dog ate it and so on......

I've wondered this myself, and I believe the answer is no. I do think it would be good to have the option for the receiver of the negative feedback to respond.
