That is sad if you think I'm complaining about this and you are downgrading with the words you pick to prove your point when I have not.
It is a simple fact. It is called a Factory set and needs to be labeled as such. You think you have never read a post of mine that "as you say is a complaint". Shows me and everyone you have not read all my posts. Try again I'm smarter than that. High school playground banter is a fail.
I just want it to be right for everyone and easy for everyone to navigation. Surely even you can see that. The only way to find out if it's a mistake is to bring it up and have people talk about it. But you don't want that? I do not understand your bashing on me to prove a point there is no problem with the way Factory sets are labeled. Your bashing of me is a ploy to keep others quiet and free thinking is not allowed in what you're writing. For shame on you.
It a community site and everyone has a say no matter what they think and all decisions by admit are not always right. Shame on you for negating the facts and bashing on me to make a moot point.

I have read that others have made mistakes in trades because of the lack of labeling for Factory set. It is not an over the top thinking to get this right. If admit can't make a menu label for a factory set then a card for a factory set should have the tag "FS" on the listing so we all know. That can't be a hard thing to get right and make it easier for everyone to make sure they are trading the right card. You can now personally bash me if you want and negate the problem that is here. It will not help everyone in getting things right so we don't trade the wrong cards. Your call.

One other thing to point out. I asked for help in being able to know what cards on the Donruss set are labeled factory set and you went strange to bashing me and forsaken to help. Everyone reading this saw that. Come on, bro strong-arming is not the way to go. That alone shows there is a mistake and we need to talk about it.

RJ maybe all of your post aren’t negative but you’ve spent a fair amount of time complaining about how admin does things. Last I checked you can get all of the wonderful features of this site for FREE. Is it perfect? No. Is it really good? Absolutely. There are many no win situations given the complexity of some of these sets and the myriad of ways that people collect. Stickers and donruss come to mind. This has been a well tread topic and it seems like admin has made his/her decision on the matter. People have worked very hard to put these checklists together more graditude and less complaining would be nice.

'Negative' is probably not the optimal word choice, but you do come off as 'combative' whenever things aren't precisely the way you would do them.
Do I agree with every choice Admin makes? No. Do I understand the reasoning behind them? Sometimes it takes a bit of putting myself in others shoes and understanding all collectors are not the same. Are there some I think are completely incorrect? A few perhaps, only one I can think of at the moment.
You're in Admin's playground, either make a case for change directly after a decision has been made, create your own playground, or deal with it.

Without TCDB and the community of collectors life for me would be rather boring.
I'm okay with the majority of decisions made by Admin - and, Mike, it is a he. I believe if everything were setup as I would prefer then many of you would be looking elsewhere to manage your collection.
When I have sought Admin's ear to a request he's given it. It's been balanced between additions or revisions being made and at other times rejected, yet I've never felt that my voice was disregarded. Yes, I get frustrated with some idiosyncrasies, but I learn to adapt.
I appreciate the passion we have for this hobby, and I hope that it continues to be shared between us all. (I feel like quoting Rodney King, but won't).

hmmmm.... bashing>sounds familiar, LMAO ! Been there and got "spanked". Gotta be a "good ole boy" here, to gain respect. Forums are for all sorts of stuff including complaining, maybe many of you are mixing complaining with constructive criticism. Strong-arming, funny. Anyway, I better get off the box before I get knocked off....like the good boy feeling too much.

Dude, this isn't like Topps Gold or Finest Refractors, where you can tell which one you have just by looking. The factory set borders aren't consistent. Also, not all factory sets have the C versions. Some have the same versions that are in packs. Only the ones that came in a specific box had them. You can only know what you have by comparing to the scans on the site, and it's a whole lot easier to do when they're side by side. And there are several cards where the border is the same in all packaging. If you didnt see some that only have A & B, you didnt look very hard.
As far as your claims of Dan stifling this debate, the debate has been had many, many times, as recently as Tuesday, when I brought it up. Just because you hadn't griped about it yet doesn't mean the rest of us haven't. It's not an insult to all collectors, or whatever you called it. I like it the way it is.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Hey great we can add factory sets, I've been looking for a way to add mine, thanks for that "cl_kyle", but most of mine have been opened, one thing though, how do I scan the wooden box my Traks set came in ? And when I do figure that out, I haven't seen a place to add that picture of my factory set. But I don't think this is what's ment by "Factory Set" bummer, because I really do have a bunch of factory sets.
The biggest thing that gets me is "RJ Smith" just said "1991 Donruss". 91 Donruss what ? 1991 Donruss - Strawberry Shortcake - Pink Edition ? 1991 Donruss - GI Joe - Kung Fu Grip ? I went looking for this 1991 Donruss to find out what all the fuss was about but quickly gave up. I've noticed that most people on here just assume that everybody collects baseball and basketball cards, I dont, never have, never will, NASCAR only. I also noticed no one else said exactly what 91 Donruss set was in question ? Without the rest of it I can't go look, nor can most others. Anyway
I can't remember who said it but the TCDB is a Free site, thank you for that.

Rooster67, you can add pics/scans of factory set packaging by going to the sets' page and clicking the link for Packaging. Even if it's ghosted (meaning nothing is there yet), you can click it and upload your pics/scans.
And the set RJ's b****ing about is MLB cards. He didn't bother to link to the actual set he was complaining about as he was covering an entire feature on the site but only using one set as an example.
