I don't know if I've talked about this before but here goes.
Card #538 in the TCDB says that the picture on the front is actually George Canale. George Canale, from all the photos I've seen, shows that he wears jersey #33. All five of the cards I have shows jersey #6 on the front which means the photo on the front is Billy Spiers which is the jersey # he wears. Is the data base incorrect?

First off, there's another number behind the 6, so the uniform isn't just #6.
Second, here's a Canale card with him wearing that number:
Third, this is not a newly discovered thing, but has been known for years.

If you go to Baseball Reference and look at their pictures, the eyebrows have it. It looks like George Canale.

Baseball Reference also shows that Canale never wore #6.

Again, Canale is NOT wearing 6, but 6# (maybe 61?).
Many photos are taken at Spring Training, which is not listed at Baseball Reference.

Oh, I missed that point...#6+. Yeah, it makes sense that players wear odd numbers during spring training.

Canale's 1990 Upper Deck shows him wearing #61.

Ok, looking at the 1990 Score card #656 of George Canale, wouldn't this be considered a UER or ERR as the picture on the front shows him wearing jersey #6+ and the back of the card says jersey #33?

No. His actual uniform number he wore during the regular season was #33.

Some times things can get so complicated. Makes me want to put my hair out. Then what is the picture on the score card if it's not an UER or ERR. Pre season? Which would apply to the 1990 Topps card as well??????
