Hey everyone, its been a little while since i posted anything and i wanted to check in.
My son is doing great, especially while communicating. He still has his moments but he has come so very far since we have gotten into cards. He has loved receiving mail from people.
We finally (almost) got caught up on sorting all those cards and i think i have about 3/4 logged in on here. Or so i thought. Lol i took my daughter garage saling with me this weekend and while i was busy shopping she made fast friends with the little boy whos house we were at. I over heard them talking about baseball (he was playing with a baseball in the yard when we got there). I just kind of smiled at how much this adventure has effected both of my little ones. I told my daughter it was time to go and she said bye to her new friend. As we were making our way to my car the kids dad told us to hold on a sec. He then asked my daughter if she really did like baseball cards. And who her favorites were. He said he would be right back and omg... he brought her out a huge box and told her to have fun and make sure she shares with her brother. Thiz box was stuffed full of 07, 08, 09 and 2011 un opened 7card packs!!! Theres close to 350 packs in here! Its crazy!
Well theres my little update. How is everyone else doing?

Update: there was not 350 packs in the box. Im horrible at estimating. Turns out there was 587 packs total, and about 15 of the hard plastic magnetic cases

Totally agree with what Dan said. But I'd spread out the breaking into weeks or months of pack-busting fun with the kids.

When I was in 6th grade I was very, very sick. My mom bought a hobby box of 1996-97 Metal series 1 NBA, and every day I could make it all the way through school she gave me a pack. It's my only good memories of that entire year...and propelled that set to #4 when I did a countdown of my top 20 favorite sets to celebrate my 20th anniversary in the hobby. You might be able to partition those out as rewards, or something similar.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.
