Hi guys. Forgive my newbie-ness but I'm trying to figure out how this scanning thing works. I've got almost every picture needed for the 1994-95 SP Die-Cut Hockey set. I scanned 2 cards front and back and submitted. Then I saw a section where they were waiting to be cropped. So I did that. But they still show off. Are there people good enough to scan cards where they don't need cropping? Who approves mine and how long before they're up? I don't mind scanning the rest of this set cause I'm addicted to this site but I don't want to piss off anyone. Talk to me....

Someone with a higher permission level will approve or deny your scan. It usually takes a day or 2. If there is an issue with it there will be a brief description of the issue below the scan and the background will turn yellow I think. If it’s approved it will leave your queue. If you prove to have a track record of good scans you will be able to approve your own scans. If you go u see FAQ in th scans sections Billy Kingsley has a really good tutorial on doing nice scans.

Also you should be able to see your cards sitting in the queue. You won't be able to make corrections until you achieve the proper level of permissions (level 6 I think?)
You can click on Permissions and start going through the tests for the various permission levels. After reaching the proper level to edit your own scans, It takes several submissions and showing you are capable of making proper edits before your self-approval permission is granted.
I hope I have described things correctly without too much confusion.

Billy K's tutorial was awesome. But I have another dumb question. Where is my Queue? Does everyone have their own?

Yes. When you upload a card there should be a hot link to it somewhere on the screen. Also if you scroll down on any page to the gray section it’s listed under account on the far left side.

You're cropping too much out - they are mostly incomplete.

They're die-cuts. I'm meticulously going to the edge of the card. Why is it saying incomplete?

Because you're over-cropping and parts of the card are missing. I own several of these cards and know what they are supposed to look like.

I think I got it figured out. I redid all of them.
