So I'm a bit of a slow collector (buying packs where I can, trading for what i'm missing). I broke down and ordered my last 10 cards from COMC for 2010 Topps base set and completed the set (w/o varitions!) Go me, my most expensive missing card was #2 Buster Posey.
Now onto 2012 and 2013 Topps (Happy hunting for me!).
I really didn't think I'd come this close to finishing a set plus didn't realize that a couple of guys I collect that I didn't run into them via a dime box or as trade fodder.
John H.
Thanks for all those who helped with supplying 2010 cards to my collection!

Congratulations, John! As a fellow set-builder, I get the warm and fuzzies when I finish my base cards. I have a bunch of 2013s, and maybe a few 2012s - let me know if you want to trade.

I've expanded a bit beyond straight up set collecting, but one of my favorite collecting feelings is still completing a set. Congratulations.Keep it going. Sorry I can't help.

It does feel good to complete it. Finally breaking down to buy those last ones wasn't too bad. Just need to stay away from the parallels & variants lol.

Congrats on finishing the set, always a great feeling, I collect sets but have now gone company trying to collect all pro set including their off shoot brands parkhurst for hockey in 1991 and 1992 as well as finish line in racing in 1993
just glad there are only 5 sets with parallels as that makes it easier to finish
