BradLevi, that's a great idea. As a former teacher and school administrator I employed that in work stations for students and encouraged it when I left the classroom.
Presently, I send an accummulation of Fleer and Upper Deck team logos to a friend who's left administration and returned to the classroom to hand out as rewards to her students as she chooses. I've got another stack ready to go now, in fact. I've thought about asking TCDB members to send me these logo stickers so I can forward them to my friend, but never follow through with this. (I'm not asking now, but if you would at least find a teacher in your area that would use them as rewards for exceptional work or behavior, that would be great!)
But let me counter your suggestion this way: Why donate damaged cards to encourage collecting? Wouldn't it be best to give the best?
It sounds good to donate, and my wife and I do that often with clothes and other items we have no need for. But for the most part nothing is damaged.

I say this with love. There are thousands of children right now that would have been thrilled to have had these cards. Throw in a few dice and the rules to play dice baseball and you just made new life long collectors and baseball fans. If we don’t each help build the next generation of card enthusiast then why bother collecting?

So, here's a sample of what I just encountered in my filtered cards, and frankly it's not the worst, but probably fairly common to the rest. The front is without issues, but the back's got a few white smudges circled in red. What would you do with these? Would you accept them as part of your collection even with a description? Would you be upset if you received them without explanation?
