I would rather spend 100 on vintage stars or high numbers (like two 50 or a 60 and 40).
If I had 10, I would go more for the 10 dollar cards instead of one 10 dollar card

I'll cop out on this one, and say that it really depends on my mood. I go back and forth throughout the year. Go for the one big card I've been hunting, then buy a lot of cheaper ones. Both purchases bring me joy in different ways. Nope, can't pick only one of these two choices. Sorry.

Almost always 100 cards. I like flipping through my collection and seeing the variety and volume. The higher dollar cards are nice, and I wouldn't turn them down, but once a card makes the cut into the main collection, it almost doesn't matter what its value is.

I would get the 100 cards for $100. I can't bring myself to spend more then $10 on a single card.

100 cards I need for $100 for me - I have never spent that much on a single card (nor would I).

As a collector I would get 100 for $100. Unless it was a PC card that I haven't been able to find. However, if I was a invester, I would still get 100 for $100. If the single $100 card player did bad, my investment would be in the red. However if a few of the $1 cards did well you may be able to turn a small profit and reinvest.

I have a particular card in mind for the $100. Which I would do, but other than that card I'd get the 100 cards.

I am glad to see so many people commenting that they'd never spend $100 on a single card. Not that there is anything wrong with it, if I was in a position where that wouldn't be a big deal to me, I might buy a few cards over $100. But it is nice to know I'm not the only collector that has a low single-card purchase limit.

I do as well...but i chose 1 card. I based this on an "if" situation. I still think that there are so many older cards in sets I would like to complete that I will never get unless there happens to be a "heres x dollars to spend on cards" situation. I cant see spending 100$ on a bunch I can get anytime when there is one there I can only get in this one situation. If I want a Willie Mays or Aaron in OPC from the 60s its gonna cost $$$... I dont know...makes sense in my head, but to each their own!:)

I'm mostly organizing over adding right now.
