Welcome to the site!!
I just started trading this year and it is addicting. My wife is always curious why I am anxious to check the mail.
Couple things I have learned-
1. Plain White Envelope (PWE) trades seem to be 50/50. Some say "No Problem" other prefer more secure packaging. Always safe to ask the trader's preference.
2. Painter's tape is a bazillion times preferred than other types when securing a package. Trimmed cereal boxes make excellent backers to protect the cards.
and 3. Don't be afraid to throw a propsal out there. My first dozen trades were all sent to me. There are a ton of great people on here that look forward to that little "ping" when a new message has arrived in the mailbox
Have a great time and Welcome again

Welcome!
You'll enjoy it here. The site has lots of great features for cataloging and tracking your collection, and also for trading. Maybe we'll be able to make a trade sometime.

I'm the hothead that makes fun of Ranfordfan. I think it's how I earned my Level 8 status.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Thank you for the welcome everyone! As I have time, I will list my very extensive Tony Gwynn collection. I believe it rivals any single player collection out there. But that is my opinion...and you know what they say about those!!!

Another Gwynn collector on the site now! I think we have a few of those already, including me.
Always room for another though, so I can't wait to see your collection. Mine is pretty small (maybe 150 cards) b/c he's lower on the list of my MLB collecting. I love to see large collections of any person in any sport or non-sport though. Some of my collections have way more than just cards too.
-------------------------------
NO PWE's EVER!!! PLZ PM me 1st before sending any offer. ONLY selling cards as of March 2024. No trades or purchases right now. _______________________________________________________________________ Largest total PC card collections by Team, then Athlete (as of 3/22/24): STL Cardinals (MLB) - 8810; Carolina Panthers - 2888; GB Packers - 1790+ cards Mark Martin (NASCAR) - 2038 cards; Jimmie Johnson (NASCAR) - 1875 cards; Jeff Gordon (NASCAR) - 1594; Ricky Rudd (NASCAR) - 839; Ozzie Smith (MLB) - 707
