Random Card of the Day |
Friday, June 24, 2022Year: 1984 Set: Topps Traded - Limited Edition (Tiffany) (Rate) “ Back is fantastic! It has nearly everything you'd ever want to see on a card back. The front is a decent design but Topps had better designs in the years before this and a few afterwards. I still like that it has an action photo, a headshot, name, team and position though. BTW, "Tiffany" cards are super-glossy versions of the regular Topps cards. Just had to add that info since it is a common question from everyone that was not collecting cards in the 1980's. The backs were also obviously-whiter cardboard than other Topps products. ” -spazmatastic

“ Highly underrated. Lifetime .303 hitter, 2700+ hits, 7 time all-star. Lasted only one year on the HOF ballot - not that I am saying he deserved to be a HOFer, but definitely deserved more love than one and done. ” -Tscastle

“ Nice 1980s card. Interesting how they had to number it as Topps Traded cards were usually numbered "T#" where as this is "#*T" because it is Tiffany. ” -captkirk42
“ I sure remember these cards and again Topps had the ugliest card of the year behind Donruss & Fleer. These cards today probably aren't worth the money it took to print them.
I haven't seen or heard of Al Oliver in years. I liked him and always thought he was a really good player! ” -tinyshogun

“ 1982 batting champion. Classic card design. ” -pugchump
“ Known for his best work as "TC", the strong arm Helicopter pilot sidekick of Thomas Magnum in the hit 80's series Magnum PI. ” -parsley24
