Year: 1981

Set: TCMA The 1960's II (Rate)

Card: #360 Barry Moore

“ Nice classic shot. Nothing flashy. Just the player.....good card! ” -Gator415

“ 1980s TCMA cards I used to hate them for their looking like plain photograph post cards. Over the years though I learned to like them. I don't plan on completing any sets, but I will pick up some of my fave players or teams from time to time of these. This one would be good for my Senators PC ” -captkirk42

“ Great photo... but the back is lacking... ” -parsley24

“ TCMA's "pure" cards. I have the Stars of the 1950s set. ” -cjjt

“ I love sets like this. I want this card! ” -switzr1

“ Strong dislike for full photo cards. Always cool to see a Sens card though. ” -crushnmove

“ I like the TCMA 80's cards. ” -BasketbalHQ

“ I have a soft spot for TCMAs since they were practically the only option other than Topps from my youth. But sorry to say that there is really nothing about this card that I find attractive. ” -kents_stuff

A little bland but there's nothing really wrong with the card. Looks more like a sticker to be honest.

You can hardly see any of his face.  He could be any pitcher on his team

Yeah. It can be narrowed down because the "2" is identifiable the second number not so much  Moore's number was 25 and in the photo it looks like it could be either a 5 or a 6. (possibly even an 8 or 9).

OH and you can't tell what the cap logo is. It would be the Senator's "Curly W" they started using in '63 on until they moved to TX and was later adapted for the current Nationals.

I like his daughter, Drew.  (I reread the comments twice to make sure nobody else had made this lousy joke already)

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff.  Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

It's a lousy card, but I need it!  Many years ago I committed to piecemeal collecting the 1978 and 1981 TCMA sets for The Sixties, but I haven't done any collecting in the last 10+ years.  I'm about 91% complete on the '78 set, but only about 20% on the '81 set.
