Thank you everybody for replying. I have received your messages and replys. I'm trying to work through them and add the teams people are interested in into the database.
Thank you for all the suggestions. Sitting and looking at stacks and stacks of cards began to overwhelm me. Add on to the fact all the stuff I have that I don't know I have (which refractor diamond, rainbow foil, or sub set, or sub sub set, hobbie or retail) made for a very hopless feeling.
Been very busy at work (openeing a new location in town) but I will get on it and back to everyone soon.

I feel your pain Royal chief. At least seven times a week I decide that I can't bear the thought of putting the rest of my collection in here. That's not a snub against the site. It's great. It's a snub against my organizational skills, and the state of the hobby in general.
-------------------------------
I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Yes it can be a painful process but in the end, very worthwhile. I actually did mine twice because the first time, I had loaded singles with sets and it was deceiving what I had in either collection. So I had Admin erase my whole baseball collection and I started over. What I can say, by persisting, I now have a better organized collection and it has brought me numerous trades with others on this site. It was worth every minute I spent on this site during the last two years (almost). Organization is the key (along with space); one task at a time is the best way. I started organizing my collection by company, year, completed sets vs still needing cards, and doubles for trade again organized by company, year and set. Then I started loading all of my sets collection into the site along with any doubles I had for trade. Yes it took many months but it is now all in (at least 99% of it is as I still find the odd card that I have which did not get entered) along with images of all of the cards I have that were missing images. Now, everytime I get more cards, I load them in the site, load images and then enter them into my sets. Staying on top of it is now my biggest challenge but I even now have time to enter new checklists in the "Things to do...Missing checklists".
All I can recommend is to persist, get completely organized, take one task at a time, and don't worry about how long it will take to do it all. Every card entered is one less to do. Downsizing is one thing but giving up collecting is too drastic. Besides, it sounds that you are being forced to get organized through the calls for cards by other members. When you are all done, if you have Blue Jays and Expos left over, I would be interested in a possible trade for your team cards.

I don't collect baseball, but I collect football. Always looking for Jerry Rice cards and Larry Fitzgerald cards, also Minnesota Vikings in general. I'll save any nicer Chiefs cards I have for you, in case we can set up some trades later :-) Wishing you all the best with your new location opening, and the new direction you've decided to take in the hobby!!

I went through a similar situation recently and decided it was best to just limit what I collect because the idea of colelcting it all was way too much and was a drain on cash. Make trades when possible and there may be some things that you can sell so you can turn around and purchase just what you like.

I player collect Mattingly, Buehrle, and Korean cards. Some Herman Moore, Cris Carter, Sterling Sharpe. Concentrate on the three you mentioned and you'll be fine.

I have nothing you want in trade but I'd probably be interested in the basketball and non-sports. You could always send them to COMC.it costs a quarter per card but you'd be surprised what sells. I just started sending cards to them a few months ago, I sent the minimum 100 cards, and in about 5 weeks time I've already sold 43 of them. The more common cards that I figured everyone already had were the first to sell.
-------------------------------
VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I'm looking for any of the 2003 Upper Deck Honor Roll cards. I've got 7 left to get of the base set (6, 48, 54, 140, 141, 151 & 159), and a smattering of the parallels and variations, so any of those are welcome. Let me know. Thx! Blake
