I notice that many cards have a "value" based on over 20 years of pricing & when a more current price is submitted, many cards value doesn't change to a more current value.

Is there any way to base a card's value on a more reasonable timeframe such as the past 5 years of auction / retail sales?

The price is a median (ie middle point) of the last, I believe, five prices submitted, if there are five or more prices.

One way to get a price more in line with current trends is to submit multiple prices from actual sources, which then influences whatever the old, perhaps outdated median price is. Be sure to link the auction/purchase so that the prices stick. 

Don't use this site for pricing plain and simple. This site was not set up to be a pricing site and info present is not reliable. Search the form threads, you'll see a whole lot of discussion concerning your question. 

As Dodgy mentioned the values are based on the last 5 entries. If you can find more current sales add them to make the values  to be more realistic to today’s market. There are lots of things the site wasn’t designed for but as a crowd sourced site it improves and changes every year. Many people use and appreciate the values. Those that don’t are free not to use it.

I've found Sportslots and eBay are best to use for comps. I don't rely on the site for values, and I usually have to decline offers from members who do use the values on the site.
