As an avid Willie Mays fan my goal for 2024 is to increase my Willie Mays PC to 660 unique cards in honor of Willie's career HR total.  I currently need 117 to meet my "660 in 24" goal. So if you have an extra Willie in the trade pile, please check my FS/FT list and see if there is a trade to be had.  Thank you and of course....Say Hey!!!

Hi Cooter, I love your 660 in 24. Being a numbers guy and a Giants fan I love it a lot. I am having issues with trading due to spending most of my time helping my mother but if you see a Mays card or two you need let's do a small trade. Maybe we can find a Willie for a Willie (McCovey) trade. He's my guy. I would love to do a 521 in 44 but I don't figure to make it to 44. LOL Currently I have 201 McCovey and 216 Mays. Willie Mays has almost 7,000 different cards.  Your collection is private, and you state that you have 543 of his cards, but you only have 639 in your want list.  I have 1 Mays on your want list, but I might have others you are interested in.
Since your collection is private, I don’t know if the Mays cards I have that are not on your want list are actually cards you have or not. I would suggest you make your collection viewable to others, or expand your want list, to allow others to better help you reach your goal.

Thank you for your response.  I am a long time vintage collector of which only 300 of the 7000 are from his playing days.  In the past 2 years I started picking up modern Mays.  However I don’t get excited about serial numbers, colors, refractors or relics so my want list reflects primarily base and parallel sets.

Got it. Normally when people collect a certain player they collect all of their cards.

I can understand that.  I would love to have any Mays card in my collection. However in my opinion the hobby places too much value on modern cards with contrived scarcity so I do not list them on my want list as I would rather allocate my hobby resources to vintage.

Unfortunately, I can't help with the Mays collection at this time, but would you be interested in a small trade anyways? Appears I have a card or two for you and you have 2 for me.
